The dot on the Wall

By: Abisola F.

The dot on the wall

Is just a dot on the wall

The freckle on his face

Is just a freckle on his face

Her crooked nose

Is just a crooked nose

His brain tumor

Is just a brain tumor

The scars on her arms

Are just scars on her arm

Imperfections we have

Are just imperfections we have

They can tell a story about

How the dot got on the wall

Or how the scars first appeared

But

They don’t define us

They aid us

They are just another object

Whether we can fix it or not

Imperfections don’t kill us

They just add to the plot
